Good to know:
Age requirement:
10 years or older (divers between 10 and 14 years old will receive a Junior Open Water certification).
Prerequisites:
able to swim; medically fit for diving
Time commitment:
max 5 days
You will be qualified to dive up to 18m
What does the course entail?
Waterskills assessment:
10 minute float/swim without using swimming aids complete 200m swim or 300m swim with mask, fins and snorkel
Knowledge development:
5 knowledge development segments including knowledge reviews and quizzes and the final exam
Confined water:
5 confined water dives will be conducted to develop SCUBA diving skills on the surface and underwater
Open water:
You will develop your skills further by practicing them in open water during 4 SCUBA dives
