Bathala Thila: Coral Gardens and Shark Encounters Await

Located east of Bathala Island, Bathala Thila is a small coral pinnacle starting at 10 meters and dropping to 30 meters. Its top reef is covered in soft and table corals, while red anemones and nudibranchs flourish in the area.

Nurse sharks often rest under the overhangs, and white tip sharks and napoleon wrasse are common sightings, especially around the northern terrace full of schooling fish.

This is a drift dive that begins in strong current, looping around the thila and finishing on the top reef. Dive time is typically 45 minutes or until reaching 50 bar.
